Product Review: Warrior Food
Available at Get Health Vitamins & Supplements
Foreword: Essentially, Warrior Food’s purpose is defined all within it’s own name. It is less of a supplement than conventional protein powder, but can be consumed in place of a protein shake. After using Warrior Food in my regiment for a little over a month, it’s proved to me that it’s an excellent product.
I exercise regularly- up to three times a day in some instances. As any athlete or health junkie knows, proper and well-balanced nutrition is essential to function and physically perform at a high level. What a lot of companies who sell sports supplements don’t tell you is how to properly use their products to optimize your results; to put it more plainly- it makes more sense to consume natural whole foods to fuel/repair your body than use the dense, hard to digest, expensive protein powders that most people are familiar with using for supplementation. Warrior Food sets itself apart from other protein supplements in a few ways: it’s organic, 100% vegan, low-calorie (in comparison to other proteins), and easy to digest. For those who like to work out, these differences apply nicely to achieving a healthier lifestyle by using Warrior Food. Think about it:
-Most whey protein powders are made from a milk/soy base (mostly milk)- both soy/milk have a good portion of research stating that they are no good for our bodies in excess- cutting them out from your daily protein supplement probably isn’t a bad idea.
-Most people eat too much meat- especially we Americans. If you’re serious about health and fitness, it’s nice to be able to get complete proteins in your diet from plant sources, just to cut a bit of meat out of your daily eating habits. Warrior food is 100% vegan.
-After a workout, you’re supposed to consume recovery foods (protein & carbohydrates) within a window of 45 minutes. About an hour after that, you’re supposed to consume some more recovery foods to optimize muscle recovery and growth. Protein powders can leave you feeling full and bloated for hours- the last thing you want to do is eat. Warrior Food is low calorie compared to these products, and digests very quickly within your system. Eating an hour after drinking a Warrior Food shake is easy- you’ll find yourself hungry and excited for the second post-workout snack.
After using this product in place of my usual whey protein supplement, I’m impressed to say the least. I find myself able to physically perform with more energy, and with a rapid recovery time. My appetite isn’t curved at all- it’s as if my body rapidly absorbs the Warrior Food right in and goes straight to work. This is absolutely a product for someone who’s serious and consistent with health and fitness (*Note: how many times I used the word “serious” throughout this write up). I wouldn’t suggest that anyone whose NOT exercising regularly to take this product (or really any protein supplements for that matter). If you take a protein supplement post-workout, but are looking for something new- perhaps something a bit more effective than the product your using, than Warrior Food is absolutely worth a shot. I enjoy taking it very much and will continue using it in place of whey protein for some time to come.
*Side note: I personally believe it is best prepared in a blender with a heaping scoop of Warrior Food, a glass of almond milk, an entire banana, and your choice of a sliced up apple or fresh carrots. It’s refreshing and wholesome.
